Logo Project

Q: What is a concept?

A: A concept is a unique design proposed for your logo. Each page of your concept presentation represents 1 concept presented several different ways.

Q: What revisions can I do to my selected design?

A: The revision requests should be specific and limited to iterating on the existing design, and must not constitute the creation of a new concept. Examples of revisions can be: change of colors, fonts, mixing elements for different designs, adding or removing elements, asking for a different layout. Spark reserves the right to require clarification and/or reject any revision request that does not meet the requirements expressed above.

Q: What files will I receive for my logo?

A: Each Logo Design Project purchase comes with one extensive set of deliverables. The set is based on one selected design, in one layout, and includes the following file formats provided in primary color, alternate color, white on black, and black on white: .AI, .EPS, .JPG, .PDF, .PNG, and .SVG. You will also receive a logo presentation with font and color information and a Transfer of Copyright document.

Q: When does a logo design project officially start?

A: A project start date is the first business day after both a completed deposit and completed intake have been received. For an intake to be completed, all of the required sections of the form must be completed or a representative must otherwise indicate that the intake has been completed. You will receive an email notification that your project has started and projected delivery date for your concept presentation.

Q: How long does it take to receive my logo design concepts?

A: You should receive your concept presentation within 3-5 business days of your project start date.

Q: How long do logo project revision requests take to complete?

A: Revision requests are typically completed by the end of the next business day.

Q: How long does it take to get my logo project deliverables once I have made completion payment?

A: Deliverables are typically prepared and transferred within 1 business day.

Q: What happens if I don't like any of the concepts?

A: Once you have received the concept presentation there are 4 options for how to proceed forward:
1) select a design and approve as final
2) approve a design and request revisions
3) cancel the project
4) purchase additional concepts.

Through the intake process we attempt to align ourselves with your desired direction for the logo and deliver quality, unique concepts for your consideration. Our hope is that there is one concept from the presentation that you at least like enough to move forward with through our revision process in order to get it exactly where you want it. Spark offers unlimited revisions to your selected concept as a representation of our commitment to delivering a final design you love.

If for any reason you are completely unsatisfied with the concepts and do not wish to continue through the revision process, you may cancel the project at any time. If you wish to purchase additional concepts, you may do so at a discounted rate, learn more.

A revision consultation call may be helpful, if you would like to schedule one please click here .

Q: Will I be able to edit the logo design after it is received?

A: You will receive the source file, but will need proper software in order to make edits to the layers of the design. For general image editing such as resizing, cropping, etc you should be able to make the edits with any basic image editing software.

Q: How can I schedule a project consultation call?

A: You can use this link to schedule a free project consultation - please select a day and time that works best for you and a member of our design team will reach out.

Q: Where can I purchase additional logo variations?

A: Access this page to purchase additional logo variations for the design you approved. Please select the number of additional variations you would like to receive - for 2 additional variations purchased, you will receive the third one for free.

Q: Do you offer assistance with trademarking?

A: We do not provide Trademarking services, but your design will be unique and custom created, so you should be able to apply and be considered for Trademark protection. Please be aware that we make no guarantee that your application for Trademark protections will be approved.

Q: What happens if I need to make changes to a logo design project that was already completed?

A: As the deliverables for the logo have already been transferred, we will need to invoice a revision fee + a new set of logo deliverables. Once the final design is approved, we will send over the new logo files within 1 business day. If these adjustments require the creation of new graphics/concepts, then the best way to accomplish this is by activating a new logo project.

Q: What would require an Illustrated Logo Project upgrade?

A: Any project that involves detailed illustrated elements require additional time to execute and specific design skills, therefore we require an upgrade for this type of project.

Q: Do I get all the color schemes presented on the page for my selected concept?

A: Yes, you will receive all 4 color schemes included on the page for each concept - primary, alternate, black on white and white on black.

Q: What is an additional logo variation, and what does it cost?

A: An additional logo variation is an alternate version of your logo than can be used for certain needs (vertical layout, horizontal layout, icon only, font only, logo without tagline). Our fee is $50 per additional logo deliverables. If you purchase two additional logo variations, you will receive the third one for free!

Q: Can I choose two concepts instead of just one, and what does it cost?

A: Yes, we can provide logo deliverables for as many concepts as you want. Our fee is $50 for each additional logo deliverable set.
